Hallowscream 2011 seeks talent!

Back in Orwellian days of Tory government, protests, riots, recession and mass unemployment - I'm talking about 1984 here for the easily confused - there emerged a bloodchilling weekly comic called Scream!. Packed with horrific tales of vampires, monsters, werewolves, ghouls, and er... killer cats Scream! only lasted 15 issues before the dreaded 'merge' (aka cancellation), but the comic is very fondly remembered by those of us who read it at the time. Tim West was one of those readers and a few years ago he set up a splendid tribute website - Back From The Depths - devoted to Scream! - which he filled with loads of info, oodles of scans and an excellent blog on other horror comics.

But having brought Scream! back from the dead Tim, aka Ghastly McNasty, and other fans struck on another fiendish idea: to create a monster of their own! [cue thunder] And so Hallowscream! was born! A free downloadable anthology Hallowscream! is published every 31st October and there are two issue to date - 2009 and 2010.

Now the time has come for Tim to recruit conspirators for the 2011 issue...

Calling all horror artists and writers. Do you want to be part of the Hallowscream 2011 project? Each year Scream! fans from around the world work together to produce Hallowscream, the indy fan based horror comic and Scream! tribute. Once again we are looking for skilled or budding horror writers and artists to contribute stories and artwork to appear in the upcoming 3rd edition due to be released this Halloween.

So if you fancy contributing you can find more info and read the full submissions guidelines HERE
