SPBM recommends: "Today's Superheroes Send Wrong Image To Boys" response
Last week there was a research paper published by American psychologist Sharon Lamb which cast several aspersions on comic book superheroes, the movies made from these comics and their effect on young and impressionable boys. This sent a Mexican wave of eyerolling and "Oh for flip's sake" grumbling through section of the comics community but Stephen Aryan of the Comic Book Outsiders podcast decided to write a more formal response and voice what we were all thinking - only, in my case, far more clearly and eloquently. Jamie Smart's Find Chaffy
SPBM favourite and comedy genius Jamie Smart has a new children's book out called Find Chaffy - as you'd expect from Mr Whubble it's eye-meltingly beautiful and very funny.
